Hi everyone, great to see so much interest. The project certainly hasn’t stopped, and we’ve got working code that does play from Spotify to a Squeezebox.
It’s approaching being useful, but until it’s packaged it’s not something we can support, and we don’t want to waste time with support issues on something that isn’t supportable.
Hang on in there and I hope we’ll get a release out soon with minimal but useful functionality and a passable installation system.

can you clarify that this has proper functionality to remotely control Spotify or is it similar to dsbridge where it is just a portal to put a stream through? i.e. you have to go back to the pc to change what spotify is playing.
Also interested in how it works, will I be able to control spotify through the squeezebox?

@Matias @Atchi I remember (but won’t swear on it) I saw a post from Squealserver guys on a forum somewhere that explained you could search on Spotify using their software. I imagine if you can search music on an interface, you can launch it as well.

Yes this is a complete Squeezecentre replacement. This runs on a linux (and perhaps windows?) server, talks to spotify and the squeezebox and provides a web interface for searching, playlist management etc. etc.
